Problem :

The company needed a career portal that allows HR teams to clearly present available job opportunities and manage how roles are showcased to candidates.

However, the existing design was cluttered and lacked clear visual hierarchy, making it difficult for candidates to quickly scan job listings and understand next steps.

Information was presented with equal visual weight, which increased cognitive load and resulted in a fragmented user journey from job discovery to application.

The experience needed simplification and better structure to support both HR goals and a smoother candidate journey.

Solution :

I redesigned the career portal to reduce visual clutter and improve information hierarchy across the experience.

The solution prioritizes key job details, making it easier for candidates to quickly scan listings and understand relevant information.

Unnecessary steps were removed from the user journey, resulting in a simpler and more focused flow from job discovery to application.

Challenge :

The main challenge was simplifying a complex and cluttered interface while preserving essential job information ، all within open-ended improvement goals and without predefined requirements. This required independent problem discovery, prioritization, and balancing both candidate usability and HR recruitment objectives.

Summary :

This project focused on redesigning an existing career portal to improve clarity, reduce visual clutter, and simplify the candidate journey.

By prioritizing essential job information and streamlining the flow from job discovery to application, the redesigned experience supports clearer decision-making for candidates while aligning with HR recruitment goals.

Impact

  • Provided HR with a clearer structure to manage and present job listings

  • Reduced visual clutter and improved scanability for candidates

  • Established stronger information hierarchy across the job discovery flow

  • Aligned the portal experience with both recruitment goals and candidate usability needs
