Year :
2025
Industry :
Finance
Client :
Personal Project
Project Duration :
9 weeks

Problem :
The core problem:
Managing multiple subscriptions becomes increasingly difficult as users accumulate more services, Tracking active plans, renewal dates, and monthly costs often requires extra effort and constant attention.
Issues with the original design:
In the original version of SubTack included multiple problems:
Information was scattered across multiple screens with poor visual hierarchy and inconsistent UI patterns.
Key elements such as cost, status, and renewal dates were not visually differentiated, resulting in a visually noisy experience that made information harder to process.
This lack of clarity made it difficult for users to:
Quickly scan and understand their subscriptions.
Identify important or urgent information.
Interpret spending data across different screens.
As a result, the experience added unnecessary friction, slowing down understanding and decision-making.

Solution :
The redesigned version of SubTack focuses on making subscriptions easier to understand, compare, and manage.
Subscriptions are visually grouped and prioritized based on cost, status, and renewal timing, helping users quickly identify what matters most.
Clear hierarchy and simplified layouts improve scannability, enabling users to track subscriptions and take action with less effort.

Challenge :
One of the main challenges was balancing the complexity of subscription data with a simple, easy-to-scan experience.
The design needed to present detailed information without feeling overwhelming, while keeping the interface clear, structured, and visually engaging.
Summary :
The SubTack redesign focuses on simplifying how users track and manage subscriptions.
By improving hierarchy, prioritization, and information clarity, the new experience helps users understand their subscriptions more easily and take action with confidence.
Impact
Strengthened visual hierarchy around cost, status, and renewal dates
Reduced friction in scanning and comparing subscriptions
Improved spending awareness through clearer monthly insights
Supported more confident financial decision-making
